Kim answers five questions: What is HIV? HIV, or Human Immunodeficiency Virus, is a virus that can be sexually transmitted. How do people get it? People get HIV three ways: through unprotected sex, sharing needles, or from mother to child. What fluids can transmit the virus? Blood, semin, vaginal fluids, rectal fluids, and breastmilk can transmit HIV. How do you get tested?
